On the road again…just can’t wait to get on the road again…I’m writing this blog from the depths of the corona-tine, can ya tell? I truly do miss traveling to photograph all my sweet couples. Since I can’t do that right now, I’ll reminisce about this trip to Seward, NE. Madisyn was so excited to share her hometown with me during their engagement session and the results were pure magic.

What to Do in Seward, Nebraska:

Seward, NE may be a small town, but they sure know how to party. This little town is known for their incredible Fourth of July celebrations, and has a few jewels of great nightlife- including Rue 6 Bar, which is one of Dallen and Madisyn’s favorite spots! You’ll also want to check out Bottle Rocket Brewing Company for a good beer, or Junto Wine for a relaxed glass of wine.  It’s also only about 20 minutes from Lincoln, so it’s the perfect mix of quiet and quaint and a Walmart’s not too far.

Taking your Seward, Nebraska Engagement Photos:

Golden hour rocks, but have you considered shooting a few of your engagement photos after the sun goes down?  I mean, there’s a whole lotta lovin that goes on after dark right?  Don’t believe me, scroll through Dallen and Madisyn’s photos to the end and check out those dancing in the headlight shots!  This Seward, NE couple loves to dance.  So we did what I do best, told their love story their way.  To recap how it went:

Me: “Dallen, pull the truck up over there and leave the headlights on.”

Madisyn:  “Lazy yellow moon comin’ up tonight shining through the trees.”

Me: Muh Girl.

That’s how magic is made people, with the headlights from a Chevy pickup and the “Nitty Gritty Dirt Band” blaring through the speakers and one super in love couple dancing the night away with the moonlight shining through the trees in Seward, Ne.
